Healing, massage, salon...etc. I had an appointment with Wendy, who is their colon hydrotherapy healer. You couldn't ask for a better person for this job. I arrived at the spa and was greeted politely right away. They walked me upstairs to the Healing floor, where I sat in a cozy area to fill out my paperwork. Wendy came out, with a big smile on her face and said hello. I immediately felt comfortable by her energy, and she sat with me and talked a bit. Anyone who knows what colon hydrotherapy is knows that it can be a bit intimidating, and I am so glad that Wendy was professional and friendly and very knowledgeable. “I love this place. I could spend an hour looking at all the cool stuff. It is a great place to buy gifts and quirky items for yourself too. I had done the crystal healing there one time and it was very relaxing. I brought my mom (from NY) there for the crystal healing as well. I often buy different crystals there for different ailments or to get certain superpowers. I don't know if they really work, but it can't hurt, right? They have expanded so much recently, that now there are three different sections: the yoga and incense section, the cosmetics section, the books and services section. “My new goal in life is to be an owner of a spa/boutique as cute as Ruby Room! My friend and I wandered in on a Sunday Wicker Park outing and I could have stayed all day! We started in the spa/make-up boutique filled with unique trinkets and stylists. Upstairs we were greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable staff in the "healing" room, containing ancient Chinese natural remedies, beautiful crystals, yummy smelling candles, books/cds galore, and a treatment room for energy readings, massages and acupuncture.
